Regardless of the situation, planned or unexpected, the loss of a loved one or the need to relocate someone can be challenging. The physical challenges and emotional strains can be overwhelming enough, without the added stress of life’s unexpected events. Caring Transitions of Garden City offers a streamlined support system to help facilitate a less stressful transition, taking care of the details so you can take care of yourself or a loved one.
From sorting through years of memories, working with estate planners, coordinating movers and real estate agents to designing a functional and comfortable floor plan, our compassionate and experienced professionals can be involved as much or as little as you like. We’ll serve as your family’s advocate, ensuring your best interests are kept in mind throughout the process.
About the Owner: Rachel Rohn

Thank you for considering working with
Caring Transitions. I’m Rachel Rohn, the local owner and operator of Caring
Transitions of Garden City. At Caring Transitions, our role is to help
alleviate stress during what can be a very difficult process. We can step back,
look at the situation, learn about your individual goals and then create
solutions to help you meet those goals.
Caring Transitions is the professional
and compassionate choice for senior moves, downsizing and estate sales. My
specially-trained team members can handle every detail of your transition,
including decluttering, organizing, packing, move management, unpacking and
resettling, cleanouts, and both in-home and online estate sales.
My team
and I work in Floral Park, New Hyde Park, Mineola, Albertson, Carle Place,
Garden City, Westbury, Williston Park, East Williston and the surrounding communities
in Long Island. I’ve lived in Long Island with my husband, Steve, and our two
kids, Alexa and Evan, since 2011.
We are
thrilled to have the opportunity to become an even bigger part of this
community through Caring Transitions.
Before joining
Caring Transitions, I helped companies relocate and expand during my
15 year career in site selection services.
My past experiences also include volunteering at nursing homes and as a
camp counselor for adults with disabilities.
Lastly, I am currently a Nassau County Court Appointed Special Advocate
(CASA), supporting children working their way through the foster system.
I enjoy
helping companies to create jobs but realized I also want to make a difference
on a personal level. Caring Transitions
gives me the opportunity to make a direct impact on the lives of people in my
community by creating jobs locally and helping families go through a
challenging life change.
I’m
looking forward to meeting you and talking about how Caring Transitions can
help you and your family.
